The Senior Associate, Project Management is responsible for creating and leading the execution of cross-functional projects that support corporate objectives and milestones; this includes assessment of resources, financial plans, and timelines to identify obstacles that would prevent milestones from being achieved. This position supports the development of products within the company’s portfolio, as well as providing oversight to the impact of clinical timelines to achieve major corporate milestones. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts, Bachelors of Science (or equiv.) in Life Sciences is required.
  • Certification in project management is preferred (PMP or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years of experience with medical/pharmaceutical product requirements, regulated industries, or clinical development is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management and team leadership is required.
  • Experience in biotechnology project management preferred.
  • An understanding of contracting, finance, budgeting and/or general familiarity with business operations is required.
  • Experience with Planisware or equivalent budgeting and finance tools preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project (or equivalent management tool), Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage project scope and timelines through creative application to meet company needs.
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans and work assignments on assigned projects while monitoring progress to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate/provide alignment for project teams and ensure timely execution of all aspects of assigned development project(s).
  • Provide strategic input to project team(s) to enhance project efficiency, timeliness and overall success and assess project related risks and adjust timelines/forecasts on a regular basis.
  • Develop documentation that supports the review of projects per corporate stage-gate review structure.
  • Escalate significant project related issues to team lead, senior leadership, or other members of Ferring Microbiome as appropriate.
  • Present progress of projects and project budgets to governance bodies as appropriate.
  • Server as single point of contact for all assigned project deliverables and related activities.
  • Work with stakeholders to capture and document current- and future-state gaps in projects and budgets as it relates to achieving company milestones.

  • At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range.
  • Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.
  • Benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees, a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellness benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees to accrue up to 120 hours in the first four (4) years of employment, and 160 hours in the fifth (5th) year of employment as well as 15 paid holidays per year.
