About The Position

The Senior Associate, Procurement will maintain strategic alliances and partnerships, perform supplier purchase order receipt follow-up, and ensure forecasted revenue dollars are met. This role involves conducting conference calls, establishing strong lines of communication with assigned vendors, and working with suppliers on decommits to determine appropriate recovery schedules. The position requires escalating issues to management with recommended courses of action and ensuring all procurements comply with corporate and L3Harris policies and procedures, including signature authority. Additionally, the role involves assessing supplier competence through capabilities and risk assessments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and 0-2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Contract experience, including knowledge of terms and conditions, and other agreement related experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of engineering documentation, product configurations, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a digital/remote environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in government / FAR buying environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in SAP or CostPoint MRP systems preferred.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of incoming purchase orders to ensure PO delivery date fidelity and strong communication with suppliers.
  • Manage assigned commodities to enable L3 Harris production, including purchase order modification, maintenance, and administration of engineering changes.
  • Create PO packages with all required documentation for PO changes (e.g., Price Analysis, Justification Worksheet, Order acknowledgement, PPV, Excess).
  • Manage supplier relationships for assigned suppliers and assist in the development and implementation of supplier base strategies.
  • Resolve supplier base problems, including negotiations on Non-Conformances, invoicing, receipt discrepancy, terms and conditions, and service levels.
  • Provide training, guidance, and coaching to Procurement Agents in a non-supervisory role.
  • Provide guidance to the company on key events in selected commodities that may affect business plans.
  • Maintain documentation control in compliance with FAR regulations and company procedures and policies.
  • Implement strategic goals established by leadership and manage selected projects as assigned.
