About The Position

The NYLIM Marketing team collaborates across the organization to strengthen the firm's brand, support business growth, and highlight its investment capabilities. This hybrid position is based in New York City, requiring three days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • BA/BS required, concentration in marketing, finance, economics, communications, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of private markets marketing or related financial services experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of private markets (private credit, corporate private placements, infrastructure debt, asset-based financing) with the ability to translate complex strategies into compelling market narratives.
  • Experience supporting intermediary and/or institutional distribution teams preferred.
  • Familiarity with marketing restrictions and regulatory considerations specific to private offerings (e.g., Reg D, accredited investor rules) is a plus.
  • Ability to support a range of product structures (interval funds, '40 Act vehicles, CITs, LPs) and adapt messaging for new structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects and execute multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to think strategically while also executing tactically and managing day-to-day deliverables.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions and build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills required.

  • Experience with SharePoint, Seismic, or similar marketing platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of proactive product marketing for private market strategies, including content across various formats (tear sheets, presentations, brochures, thought leadership, blogs, videos, webinars) and digital campaigns.
  • Partner closely with private market investment teams, Client Portfolio Managers, distribution, digital marketing, segment marketing, business intelligence, and compliance to craft compelling narratives for complex investment vehicles.
  • Drive monthly and quarterly product marketing updates, ensuring consistency in positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation across all materials and channels.
  • Analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to recommend enhancements to marketing strategies, messaging, and campaigns.
  • Serve as a key contributor on cross-functional initiatives and marketing projects to improve processes and team effectiveness.
  • Exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making while managing multiple deliverables and deadlines with minimal supervision.
