Senior Associate - Private Equity Fund Accounting (Fund Administration)
About The Position
The Senior Associate will work directly with leading private equity and hedge fund firms in the alternative asset industry, under the guidance of experienced team members. The role supports client leads across multiple private equity funds in diverse industries and collaborates with managers, teams, and support functions to meet client expectations and deliverables on time. The position applies knowledge of limited partnership agreements to financial reporting, allocations, and compliance. It also involves preparing and reviewing accounting and investor-related work, managing audits and year-end processes, supporting new team member onboarding, and identifying ways to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a GPA of at least 3.0.
- More than 3 years of experience in private equity or a related industry.
- Strong accounting knowledge.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to deliver exceptional client service and communicate professionally and effectively.
- Ability to collaborate in team environments and give and accept constructive feedback.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines accurately and with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed and produce high-quality work under pressure.

Responsibilities
- Support client leads across multiple private equity funds in diverse industries.

- Apply understanding of limited partnership agreements to financial reporting, allocations, and compliance.
- Prepare and review journal entries, fee and interest calculations, investor notices, and waterfall models.
- Manage audits and year-end processes.
- Assist with onboarding new team members.
- Suggest improvements to operational efficiency.
