About The Position

This role involves working directly with leading private equity and hedge fund firms in the alternative asset industry. The Senior Associate will facilitate the company's service offering by assisting, performing, and reviewing various financial tasks under the guidance of experienced industry veterans. The position supports IQEQ client leads across multiple Private Equity funds in diverse industries, collaborating with managers, teams, and support functions to meet client expectations and deliverables on time. A key aspect of the role is applying understanding of limited partnership agreements to financial reporting, allocations, and compliance. The Senior Associate will also prepare and review key financial tasks, manage audits and year-end processes, assist with onboarding new team members, and suggest improvements for operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least a 3.0 GPA.
  • Over 3 years of experience in Private Equity or a related industry.
  • Strong accounting knowledge.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Effective, professional communication in all interactions.
  • Ability to collaborate well in team environments.
  • Ability to provide and accept constructive feedback.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Support IQEQ client leads across multiple Private Equity funds in diverse industries.
  • Collaborate with manager, team, and support functions to meet client expectations and deliverables on time.
  • Apply understanding of limited partnership agreements to financial reporting, allocations, and compliance.
  • Prepare and review key financial tasks, including journal entries, fee and interest calculations, investor notices, and waterfall models.
  • Manage audits and year-end processes.
  • Assist with onboarding new team members.
  • Suggest improvements for operational efficiency.
