About The Position

This role involves working directly with leading private equity and hedge fund firms in the alternative asset industry, under the guidance of experienced industry veterans. The position supports the firm's service offering by assisting with, performing, and reviewing various financial tasks. The Senior Associate will support IQEQ client leads on VC funds in diverse industries, collaborate with the team to meet client expectations, and apply understanding of limited partnership agreements to financial reporting, allocations, and compliance. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial tasks such as journal entries, fee and interest calculations, investor notices, and waterfall models. The role also involves managing audits, year-end processes, assisting with onboarding new team members, and identifying opportunities for operational efficiency improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least a 3.0 GPA.
  • Over 3 years of experience in Private Equity or a related industry.
  • Strong accounting knowledge.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Proficiency in Investran is preferred.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Effective and professional communication skills in all interactions.
  • Ability to collaborate well in team environments.
  • Ability to provide and accept constructive feedback.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality work under pressure.
