About The Position

The Senior Associate, Platform Applications will help shape the application stack LA28 teams rely on to plan and deliver the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The role translates operational requests into requirements, evaluates vendors and solutions, and guides applications from discovery through go-live, including the Incident Management System (IMS). It spans technology, procurement, and operations, with responsibility for establishing and supporting systems from the ground up.

The role serves as a technical liaison across functional areas and a primary point of contact to help ensure applications are resilient and fit for purpose. Applications implemented will support LA28 teams in their work leading up to and during the 2028 Games. The position is based onsite in LA28’s Downtown Los Angeles office, with an office-based, open-floorplan work environment. Hours may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during peak event periods, and the role may include operational responsibilities during the Games.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of progressive professional experience in business systems analysis, SaaS application administration, technical requirements gathering, and software project coordination.
• Demonstrated expertise in requirements elicitation techniques, such as interviews, process flow mapping, use cases, user stories, and gap analyses.
• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise application implementations and formal software selection, including RFP processes, vendor evaluation frameworks, and contracting handoffs.
• Proven experience as a hands-on Application Administrator managing user provisioning, permission schemas, custom workflows, audit logs, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with project management and collaboration platforms such as Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365, or Microsoft Project.
• Ability to work onsite in the Downtown Los Angeles-based office.
• Ability to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment and spend extended periods using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
• Availability for hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.

Nice To Haves

• Direct experience with Incident Management Systems, ticketing, or operational tracking platforms.
• Application administration certifications for enterprise software platforms.
• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience building vendor scorecards and running structured product demonstrations.
• Experience training end users on newly deployed enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirement-gathering sessions with cross-functional stakeholders and document functional specifications, user journeys, and acceptance criteria.
• Evaluate solutions to business needs across the existing technology applications stack with the Technology Applications team.
• Partner with Technology procurement to assess vendors and software using vendor scorecards, product demonstrations, and technical assessments.
• Support implementation of the Incident Management System and other applications, including configuration, user training, operational workflows, and Games-time readiness.
• Lead application rollout workstreams and stakeholder communications.
• Maintain project charters, risk registers, requirements, and project plans through go-live.
• Serve as a technical liaison across functional areas and help ensure delivered applications are resilient and fit for purpose.
• Perform other duties as required, potentially including operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
