About The Position

Perform compliance for complex tax returns and provide tax consulting services for partnership and S corporation clients. Collaborate with the Partnership Business team and make recommendations on return preparation and tax savings opportunities, focusing on accuracy, quality and client service. Support multiple client service teams on client engagements; plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects in a wide variety of industries; provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; actively assist in proposal activities and manage to budget. Develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews. Research and consult on various tax matters; utilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters. Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities. Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure deadlines are met, and enhance client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, a related field, or a foreign equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in job offered or any tax/accounting related job titles.
  • Tax compliance or tax consulting experience in public accounting or a combination of industry and public accounting experience.
  • US GAAP, partnership returns, joint venture and non-corporate entity tax returns and Sub-chapter K partnership taxation.
  • Advising Asset Management, Private Equity, and Hedge Fund clients with the regulatory industry environment.
  • Driving processes with tax compliance projects using Thomson Reuters GoSystem, SharePoint, CCH Axcess, Engagement Management, or Go File Room.
  • Process improvement and streamlining tax processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Developing and leading training for team members in Asset Management tax.
  • Working Internal Revenue Code (IRC) 704b accounts for clients.
  • Consulting on Sub-chapter K-Partnership taxation.
  • Responding to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
  • CPA licensure (in U.S. or other jurisdiction)
