About The Position

Clyde & Co seeks a highly motivated attorney with 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage litigation. The position involves representation of international and domestic insurers with regards to all manner of liability policies, including fidelity, directors and officers, employment, professional, property, excess and commercial general liability policies. The opportunity is suited to someone who thrives within a busy, stimulating and fast-paced team environment, and has a strong interest in working on complex insurance coverage litigation matters. The attorney will ideally be located in Seattle, WA.

Requirements

Possesses excellent academic credentials.
Is admitted to practice in Washington, California, or Hawaii.
Has experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation.
Has excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
Has strong organizational and time-management skills.
Has the ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
Has effective problem-solving skills.
Has the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients.
Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda.
Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation.
Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and communication with clients.
