About The Position

As a Senior Associate on our Insolvency & Fiduciary Services team, you’ll manage complex corporate wind-downs, ABCs, liquidations, and distressed sale processes from execution through close. The role offers direct exposure to clients, lenders, legal counsel, and other stakeholders, with a focus on preserving asset value, maximizing recoveries, and mitigating risk. You’ll take ownership of key deliverables, coordinate with internal teams and third-party providers, and help drive engagements forward. This is an opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility from day one, work alongside senior leaders on high-impact situations, and build the skills and experience to advance your career in restructuring and advisory.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in restructuring, consulting, accounting, private credit, investment banking, or a related field
  • Turnaround, restructuring, or insolvency experience strongly preferred; experience with insolvency proceedings is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with 13-week cash flow forecasting and distressed or accelerated M&A processes
  • Experience directing and developing junior team members and third-party providers
  • Proven success in client-facing roles, with the ability to build trusted relationships and align stakeholders throughout an engagement
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with a track record of anticipating issues and developing practical solutions
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, including delivering difficult messages with professionalism and composure
  • Ability to perform under pressure and deliver high-quality work in time-sensitive, high-stakes situations
  • Flexibility to move between qualitative, quantitative, strategic, and administrative work
  • Intellectual curiosity about how and why things work
  • Strong accountability and integrity, including owning mistakes and doing the right thing even when it goes unnoticed
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. to qualify for consideration

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day execution across multiple engagements: set timelines, identify risks early, and drive issues to resolution with minimal oversight
  • Navigate complex, evolving distressed situations with sound judgment, making decisions independently and escalating when needed
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and third parties, including lenders, legal counsel, vendors, and potential acquirers
  • Support fiduciary engagements, including assignments for the benefit of creditors (“ABCs”), across the full lifecycle, from securing and marshaling assets through creditor communications, claims review, and distributions
  • Lead accelerated and distressed sell-side processes, including market mapping, teaser preparation, data room management, buyer outreach, and NDA processes
  • Build and interpret 13-week cash flow forecasts, applying a strong understanding of cash accounting, liquidity management, and cash waterfalls
  • Own and pressure-test financial models and operating plans to support decision-making
  • Prepare and oversee client-ready deliverables, including lender and stakeholder updates, presentations, and financial reports
  • Synthesize client and stakeholder discussions into clear takeaways and next steps for senior team members
  • Direct external professionals and vendors, and mentor junior team members through coaching, feedback, and review of their work
