About The Position

L3Harris is seeking a Senior Associate, Industrial Engineer to support Programs and factories in Camden, Arkansas. The role focuses on maximizing throughput, improving efficiency, and delivering increased value to customers. Industrial engineering work includes labor performance analyses, process and value stream mapping, line balancing, capacity and manpower planning, factory layouts and simulations, strategic planning, project management, and continuous improvement. The position follows a 4/10 schedule: 10-hour days, four days per week.

The successful candidate will model factory operations, identify resource utilization and throughput constraints, and apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices to improve factory performance. The role also supports infrastructure planning, integration of new products and equipment, cross-functional improvement projects, production proposals, safety, and work-cell ergonomics. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance are required. A valid driver's license is also required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience; or a graduate degree and 0–2 years of related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, at least 6 years of related experience.
• U.S. citizenship, because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience creating and facilitating presentations and writing technical reports.
• Experience or education in factory layout and work-cell design or optimization.
• Experience or education with simulation modeling and capacity-analysis tools or methods.
• Experience or education in project management.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action processes.
• Proficiency in Lean principles, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints methodologies and tools.
• Change-management skills, including being a self-motivated change agent with a bias for action and a sense of urgency.
• Ability to influence and lead others while working with high-performing cross-functional teams and frontline operators and specialists.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Create process flows, value stream maps, Pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to represent production processes, material movement, information exchange, and key performance indicators.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
• Draft infrastructure improvement and expansion proposals and plan integration of new products, technologies, and equipment to inform factory roadmaps and investment strategies.
• Work with cross-functional teams on projects addressing obsolescence, improving factory performance, and promoting growth.
• Support new production contract and new product proposals, as well as new product integration efforts.
• Improve factory safety and work-cell ergonomics.
