About The Position

The Senior Associate, Hedge Fund Accounting role is based in Boston, Massachusetts, in a hybrid work arrangement. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics.
At least 2 years of experience in accounting or financial services.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
Strong attention to detail, a sense of ownership, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence interacting across all organizational levels.

Nice To Haves

CPA and/or MBA designation, or progress toward certification.
Experience with alternative investment funds.

Responsibilities

Own daily hedge fund accounting operations, including cash, position, and market value reconciliations.
Process and monitor trade activity, ensuring accuracy across investment records.
Review accruals, expenses, and fee calculations for completeness and compliance.
Manage corporate actions end to end, including validating pricing and event data using independent sources.
Perform analytical reviews of daily and monthly fund performance and financial results.
Collaborate with investment managers, prime brokers, auditors, and tax teams to resolve breaks and align stakeholders.
Support audit and tax deliverables by preparing accurate, well-documented supporting schedules.
Contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced, high-volume trading environment.
