About The Position

Morgan Stanley Investment Management Inc. is seeking a Senior Associate, Global Portfolio Analysis & Reporting in New York, NY to generate recurring reports and create custom analysis that summarize business, financial, and/or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders. Work with portfolio managers, marketing and sales on all ad hoc client queries and highlight performance drivers. Enhance existing client and internal reporting for affiliated businesses. Respond to ad hoc contribution, attribution, characteristics, peer analytics, ex post performance and risk statistics requests and perform custom analysis and detailed examinations. Monitor and highlight key performance drivers to senior management. Ensure and improve data integrity and quality. Collaborate with IT and project management teams to re-engineer processes and increase effectiveness of existing reports. Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Senior Associate, Associate, or a related occupation
  • Requires four (4) years of experience with Traditional asset management investments including: cash equities, fixed income, FX forwards and derivatives
  • Requires four (4) years of experience with Conducting performance calculation
  • Requires four (4) years of experience with Developing and reviewing reporting data
  • Requires four (4) years of experience with Attribution theory and practice
  • Requires four (4) years of experience with Analyzing the performance and sector attribution using third party tools
  • Requires four (4) years of experience Serving as a product owner and leading development to design
  • Requires four (4) years of experience Building and improving scalable data products, services, and capabilities
  • Requires four (4) years of experience Working with stakeholders to identify customer needs and developing user-focused reports and solutions
  • Requires four (4) years of experience with Advanced Excel, including designing, creating, and maintaining complex spreadsheets, power queries, reports, and charts
  • Requires four (4) years of experience with SQL and data visualization tools including: Tableau
  • Requires four (4) years of experience Developing strategic plans for data-driven initiatives
