About The Position

Provides operational trade/sales support and operational client service functions in support for GE Delta One Trading and sales for OTC derivatives and listed equities, options, bonds and futures. This role serves as the first line of contact for client/counterparty and operational staff for all middle and back office related issues and inquiries. The Senior Associate is a primary escalation point for fellow teammates as well as internal and external parties. This role also involves leading or participating in projects and initiatives within the group/operations and acting as a conduit for trading and sales.

Responsibilities

  • Allocate institutional orders to client sub accounts.
  • Process post trade date corrections and cancel / re-bills.
  • Work through the daily fail report and unmatched trades report.
  • Work with client back office personnel to resolve failing trades and unmatched trades.
  • Work with back office to actively monitor settlement exceptions, ensuring timely settlement.
  • Work with Toronto P&S / Contracts, R&D and trading as a liaison for street-side clearing.
  • Act as a contact for Institutional traders regarding billing, settlement discrepancies and trading errors.
  • Manage and reconcile inventory held by the desk.
  • Take the necessary action to help Trading manage their holding within the set boundary.
  • Reconcile wash and inventory accounts used for Institutional billing.
  • Coordinate Buy-in and Sell-out processes between traders, operations, and clients.
  • Coordinate with new accounts group to open and maintain Institutional client sub-accounts.
  • Action various reconciliation reports; Imatch and related report Product Control, Sophis support, SPBS, and GEDA.
  • Calculation of OTC notes and options and distribute out both internally and externally.
  • Instrument set up (instruction to internal and external).
  • Calculation of “in and out of scope” for 871m issues.
  • Monitor T0 systematic controls: OMS fills vs swap bookings, trade flow exceptions (SOT > Nemo > Sophis).
  • Investigate and resolve any booking breaks before EOD.
  • Produce and send swap activity report / trade recap to client.
  • Validate dividend accruals are correct (price return index -- every constituent dividend matters).
  • Confirm all trades are booked and reconciled against client fills.
  • Produce any T+1 reporting the client and admin request.
  • Follow up on any unresolved exceptions from prior day.
  • Support valuation queries from client.
  • Coordinate with settlements on upcoming payments / settlement statements.
  • Liaise with confirms team on negative affirmation exceptions.
  • Quarterback all post-trade client service queries (single point of contact internally).
  • Coordinate across confirms, settlements, valuations, and collateral teams on client issues.
  • Monitor for corporate action impacts on swap positions.
  • Escalate systematic issues (e.g. dividend accrual bug, booking failures) to engineering.
  • Support new fund launches (setup, testing, first-day monitoring).
  • Support month-end / quarter-end settlement cycles.
  • Participate in client operational calls.
