About The Position

Introba is seeking a Senior Associate, Electrical (P.Eng) to join their Toronto Electrical team. This role involves leading the execution of institutional projects, ranging from smaller Functional Programming and Business Case scopes to major renovations and additions. The Senior Associate will be responsible for managing their respective Project Design Team, ensuring effective task distribution based on skillsets, and providing technical support and management resources. Introba is a global engineering firm with 1,100 employees across five countries, specializing in net-zero first building engineering design, analytic, and consulting services. They focus on creating dynamic, smart, resilient, and connected solutions for the built environment, aiming to elevate human experience, create resilient communities, and protect the planet.

Requirements

  • 10+ years design experience in HV, LV, control and lighting design experience
  • Experience leading and designing institutional projects
  • Has led a team
  • Experience responding to RFPs and writing Business Cases
  • University degree, college/technology diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PEng), Applied Science Technologist (AScT), or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • LEED® Accredited professional designation or other relevant rating or performance system is desired

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team, ensuring members receive adequate training, support and development opportunities
  • Accountable for ensuring appropriate utilization, workload planning and forecasting
  • Implements programs to improve the quality of service, products, and systems to meet clients' requirements, minimize costs, and maximize the firm’s competitive position
  • Promote quality issues with all team members and ensure that the quality control function is effectively performed and embedded as a standard in the team
  • Assure adequate field review services are provided to ensure adherence of contract documents
  • Act as the firm representative and maintain good relationships with clients, project stakeholders, associations, government bodies and other entities
  • Is an active role model for team and office culture and promotes an inclusive workplace
  • Builds and manages their own key clients and monitors key pursuits/opportunities
  • Contributes to GO/NO-GO decisions with the mindset of growing the business
  • Monitors and assists with keeping team performance at or above the annual plan
  • Is a discipline lead on projects with minimal peer/technical support required
