Reporting to the Head Football Coach, this position has managerial oversight and responsibility for the success of the recruiting department. This position is responsible for determining and establishing an organizational structure and staffing requirements for the program and for implementing and directing a structure for the effective utilization of personnel and resources for the program. The incumbent exercises professional judgment and decision-making in implementing actions to meet strategic goals. These decisions will assist the program in reaching the goals/objectives of the football program’s mission statement in recruiting and retaining student-athletes for the University of Oregon. The decisions made by the incumbent commit the program to a specific course of action and carry fiduciary responsibility and accountability for managing the program. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and assures the coordination of plans, programs, and events with other programs within the football department. Responsibilities also include conducting post-plan, program, or event review/analysis. This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA.
