The Channels Experience and Strategy (CXS) team within Retail Bank is committed to building seamless, cross-channel experiences that earn customers’ trust and their confidence in Capital One. In partnership with the CXS Chief of Staff Team, the Associate Insight, Media and START (AIMS) Team provides simple, compelling, and engaging multimedia experiences to help associates feel supported, connected and included. Our aim is to inform and inspire associates in an authentic, on-brand and fun way. We’re seeking a Digital Storyteller and Designer to join our passionate, creative, and entrepreneurial team of communications and design professionals. As a Digital Designer and Storyteller on the AIMS team, you’ll support and partner with the CXS Chief of Staff Team to deliver rich multimedia experiences that emulate the amazing talent and culture of the CXS Team, while also inspiring associates on their quest to elevate the customer experience and chart the course for the future of customer experience and servicing. The ideal candidate is a master of their craft, a versatile designer and multimedia storyteller who is highly proficient technically and can create equally compelling and effective videos, graphics, logos, and web designs. The desired experience and skillset is as follows: You’re a master of technical video production, filming and editing techniques and can bring a story to life beyond the standard interview style videos. You excel at telling stories in a clear, concise and creative way using formats like Instagram and TikTok-style videos, commercial, marketing and promotional videos, and event recaps/story videos. You’ve got a strong portfolio in graphic design that shows how you’re always on the cutting edge of new design trends and are a master at producing striking, effective graphic designs that are fresh, impactful and on-brand. You’re a brand advocate and see brand standards as essential to your ability to produce effective, engaging and impactful multimedia solutions and you have the ability to brand and promote products, information and strategies tonally through aesthetic design. You know web coding languages, such as HTML and Javascript, are in tune with current web design styles and standards, and possess proven skills in UI/UX design. You preach the importance of form and function working together to create the best user experience/product. You’re an idea incubator who enjoys ideating with others and chasing leads for great stories to tell and news to share. You empower and inspire other designers on the team by sharing your work and seeking feedback, recognizing collaboration and feedback help make a product even better and stimulate more ideas. You juggle multiple tasks masterfully while delivering great results. We’re inherently entrepreneurial, which means we’re never without multiple projects in flight. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification
  • At least 3 years of experience in video production using Adobe Premiere (including filming and editing)
  • At least 3 years experience in Adobe Creative Cloud programs; including but not limited to Photoshop and Illustrator
  • At least 1 year experience in web design using HTML and Javascript
  • At least 1 year experience in UX/UI design

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's in Communications, Video Production, Computer Science, Web Design, Graphic Design or related field
  • 5+ years of work experience in web, logo, and graphic design
  • 5+ years of work experience in video production and editing in Adobe Premiere
  • 2+ years experience with GSuite
  • 2+ years of experience in UI/UX design
  • 1+ years of experience working in Adobe After Effects and Motion graphics
  • 1+ years years of experience developing web pages in LumApps
  • 1+ years years of experience formatting and laying out online articles
  • 1+ years years of experience building designs/templates for Slides presentations
  • 1+ years of experience working with Agile methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Executing video production processes to ensure well-managed, high-quality, on-brand content:
  • Partnering with the business leaders and intent owners to establish video intent and storyline
  • Writing creative briefs, scripts, storyboards
  • Organizing and managing the production
  • Filming or coordinating filming, and/or editing videos
  • Partnering with the external film crews and editors
  • Delivering graphic design solutions across various channels and platforms applying Capital One brand standards to ensure high-quality production value
  • Email and newsletter design
  • Article layout/design
  • Logos and branded marks
  • Slide templates/designs
  • Infographics
  • Designing, developing and maintaining intranet sites within Capital One’s design system and platform to ensure on-brand, and quality user experience
  • Creating visual layouts for internal web pages, e.g. wireframes
  • Building/coding web pages in LumApps, employing HTML and Javascript
  • Managing updates/additions to web content
  • Participating in and employing Agile practices, as well as good organization, time management and communication skills
  • Collaborating with Well-Managed Process Owner on process improvement work by lending insights, support and feedback
  • Building connections with the broader Retail Bank and enterprise-wide multimedia communities
