About The Position

Aprio Advisory Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Associate for their dynamic Data & AI practice within Aprio's Technology Advisory group. This role focuses on helping clients transition from data and AI ambitions to practical, business-driven solutions. Responsibilities include assessing AI's value potential, developing roadmaps, and building proof-of-concept solutions and demos. The position is ideal for an early-career professional with applied AI experience who desires hands-on solution development alongside client-facing advisory work. This role is heavily customer-facing and requires travel across the US.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
3+ years of applied AI, data management, or machine learning experience (internship, research, or academic projects are acceptable).
Hands-on experience building AI or machine learning solutions, including work with large language models, NLP, or agentic AI.
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with modern AI development tools.
Ability to articulate technical details in terms of business value and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to AI work.

Nice To Haves

Experience with agentic or autonomous agent design and AI-assisted development workflows.
Exposure to deploying AI/ML solutions beyond notebooks (e.g., via cloud platforms, containerization, monitoring) through internships, research, or coursework.
Exposure to responsible AI practices (model evaluation, explainability, fairness, drift checks).
Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) and modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Spark).
Exposure to client business systems and ERPs (NetSuite, QBO/IES, Acumatica, Sage).
Interest in client-facing advisory work and a customer-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

Conduct AI readiness assessments and data maturity evaluations to identify where AI and automation can create value.
Translate business challenges into prioritized Data and AI use cases and shape transformation roadmaps aligning technology investments with client objectives.
Research and explain emerging AI capabilities (large language models, machine learning, data management, generative AI, agentic AI) to non-technical stakeholders.
Design and prototype agentic AI solutions for document processing, workflow automation, automated communication, prediction analytics, system integration, data synchronization, external data validation, and business intelligence.
Build proof-of-concept solutions and demos to showcase the potential of Data and AI, comparing models and options for well-reasoned recommendations.
Support SOW-based engagement delivery, including discovery, kickoff, weekly status updates, and final delivery.
Assist clients in adopting AI responsibly, sustainably, and compliantly by incorporating safeguards and monitoring into solution design.
Contribute to AI and data governance frameworks that promote responsible, sustainable, and compliant AI usage.
Act as a Data Translator / Business Engineer, bridging technical and business domains to translate technical details into business value.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into data- and AI-driven solutions.
Present concepts and findings to business audiences clearly, utilizing workshops and working sessions.
