About The Position

Venture Global LNG is seeking a Senior Associate, Construction Finance - Liquidity & Finance Integration for its Arlington location. The Construction Finance team is the financial backbone of project delivery, ensuring projects are properly funded, accurately reflected in financial statements, and supported by forward-looking analysis. This role will be part of a new dynamic Liquidity & Finance Integration unit, managing project liquidity, ensuring financial accuracy, and integrating complex project data into companywide financial planning and reporting. This is a high visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and meaningful influence on how major capital projects are financed, tracked, and communicated. Candidates should be prepared to periodically work extended hours to navigate time-sensitive deadlines.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in finance, project finance, investment banking, FP&A, accounting, or related fields.
  • Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured, fast paced environment, and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, a power user of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, particularly including dynamic scenario analysis.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues and present key details and conclusions.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset, calling attention to issues with proposed solutions already in-hand.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working with complex projects or capital-intensive businesses.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statement mechanics.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or relevant field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, energy, or other capital project driven industries preferred.
  • Familiarity with project financing structures and debt covenant requirements preferred.
  • Public company experience, including exposure to internal controls and compliance frameworks preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage term loan disbursement processes, including draw preparation, lender submissions, and compliance certifications.
  • Ensure adherence to financing agreements and covenant requirements.
  • Track and manage project-level liquidity, including contingency reserves and escalation thresholds.
  • Translate construction progress and commitment data into GAAP-compliant accruals and balance sheet entries.
  • Partner with accounting teams to ensure accurate and auditable financial reporting.
  • Assist in evaluating capitalization versus expense treatment decisions and ensure timely and accurate placement of assets in service.
  • Support internal controls in a public company environment, ensuring compliance and documentation rigor.
  • Integrate large-scale capital projects into consolidated budgets and forecasts.
  • Build and maintain detailed project cash flow models tied to schedules, execution progress, and production assumptions.
  • Develop forward-looking financial analysis to support executive decision-making.
  • Produce completion cost forecasts, including probabilistic scenarios tied to schedule and execution risks.
  • Monitor and analyze contingency utilization and emerging cost pressures.
  • Identify financial risks and communicate implications clearly to leadership.
  • Help design, build, and refine core reporting and analytical deliverables for a newly formed function.
  • Establish scalable processes that connect project execution data with corporate finance systems.
