The Pew Charitable TrustsWashington, DC
$79,900 - $89,300Hybrid

About The Position

The Evidence Project is part of the Philadelphia and Scientific Advancement portfolio, which houses all of Pew’s grantmaking initiatives. This portfolio supports scientific research nationally and internationally, state-level science policy fellowships, and initiatives in Pew’s hometown of Philadelphia focused on health and human services, arts, and public spaces. The Evidence Project specifically works to close the gap between research and real-world impact by coordinating with philanthropies, public funding agencies, and leaders in government, academia, and civil society. It aims to ensure research consistently translates to policy, practice, and community benefit through generating actionable evidence, accelerating the uptake of promising practices, and embedding these practices within research organizations for sustained impact. The Senior Associate, Civic Science Fellow, Evidence Project, will support the project’s efforts to expand and strengthen research capacities and infrastructure for public impact, particularly through a council of university presidents and chancellors. This role involves driving outreach and engagement with higher education institutions, research funders, and other research organizations regarding implementation strategies for enhancing public impact. As a participant in the Civic Science Fellows program, the fellow will join a national cohort of innovators connecting science and society, and will co-design and complete a fellowship project focused on expanding the reach of the council’s work within the field of civic science.
