About The Position

The Senior Associate will be a part of the Capital Planning and Stress Testing team within Treasury. The central function of the team is to ensure the bank remains adequately capitalized under both business-as-usual and stress conditions. This role will support the development and execution of enterprise-wide financial forecasting, stress testing, capital planning, and regulatory reporting processes. This is a high-visibility role with exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams across all lines of business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
  • 9+ Years experience in banking, capital planning, financial planning, accounting, or financial analysis
  • Deep understanding of bank financial statements and key regulatory capital concepts (e.g., Capital, Capital Planning, RWA methodologies)
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build and understand financial models and use advanced formulas
  • Exceptional attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in interacting with internal stakeholders
  • Detail oriented with ability to research, organize and analyze financial data.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Vena (Excel-based performance management software), Python and/or SaaS programming, Hyperion, FR Y14-A reporting, and/or working knowledge of Power BI preferred but not required
  • CFA - Preferred
  • Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end capital planning process, including scenario design, forecasting of capital and risk-weighted assets (RWAs), and assessing impacts under various economic conditions
  • Analyze and interpret bank financial statements to model balance sheet and income statement impacts for capital stress testing
  • Collaborate with business units and risk partners to gather inputs and assumptions for stress testing models and other forecasting methodologies
  • Develop and maintain thorough model and/or process documentation to support forecasting methodologies, assumptions, and governance requirements
  • Ensure accurate and timely data aggregation, transformation, and reporting across capital and RWA components
  • Develop, maintain and improve Excel-based models and templates used for capital projections and regulatory reporting
  • Support the preparation of materials for senior management and regulatory stakeholders (e.g., FR Y-14A, CCAR, ad-hoc regulatory requests)
  • Assist in ongoing enhancements of stress testing and capital planning infrastructure and governance
  • Participate in the implementation and use of automation tools and reporting dashboards to enhance insight and efficiency
