About The Position

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Assistant Chief Flight Instructor to play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of pilots. This role involves serving as the designated FAR Part 141 Assistant Chief Instructor, supporting training, compliance, and operational excellence. The position also includes managing flight instructor training programs, certifications, and performance evaluations, overseeing curriculum updates, and ensuring adherence to FAA and University standards. A key aspect of this role is promoting a culture of safety and regulatory compliance while fostering instructor and student success. The Senior Assistant Chief Flight Instructor will also act as a key liaison for students, instructors, and leadership, ensuring seamless communication and effective problem-solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in aviation or a related field
• COM ASMEL IR, CFI, MEI, CFII required
• Minimum 5 years of piloting experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in training roles
• Deep knowledge of FAA regulations and training program management

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degrees preferred
• ATP and AGI/IGI preferred
