About The Position

RGA Enterprise Services Company seeks multiple Senior Assistant Actuaries to support valuation and financial reporting for the EMEA region. The position is based out of the headquarters in Chesterfield, MO; 100% telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining actuarial models, revising assumptions, and preparing Statutory, Tax, and US GAAP financial reports. The position involves analyzing financial results and variances, leading projects to improve valuation processes, and ensuring compliance with internal controls (SOX). The role also includes preparing financial projections, documenting results, and supporting internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics or a related field
  • At least four (4) years of actuarial experience in a life insurance valuation role
  • 4 years of life insurance financial reporting experience, including calculating reserves, under the following regimes: US GAAP, Solvency II, US Statutory, and US Tax
  • 2 years of experience with corporate capital calculation or corporate capital planning
  • 2 years of experience utilizing actuarial modelling software (Prophet, AXIS, or equivalent)
  • 4 years of experience using Excel to automate insurance or financial workflows
  • 4 years of experience utilizing SQL-based database applications (Oracle, Vertica, or equivalent) to manage and organize data
  • 1 year of experience coding using PL/SQL or equivalent
  • ASA designation required
  • Completed one of the following FSA exams: Life Product Management (ILALPM), Life Financial Management (ILALFMU/C), or Life ALM and Modeling (ILALAM)
