About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Asset Management Consultant to join their Resilience Water Team. This role will focus on various engagements within the Asset Management practice nationally and will be based in Arlington, Virginia. The consultant will have experience in delivering asset management projects for the water and wastewater utility industry, possessing a comprehensive understanding of industry-accepted tools and techniques such as asset management planning, gap assessments, asset inventory, condition and risk assessments, life-cycle cost analysis, O&M programs, and capital investment planning. The chosen candidate will work both independently and collaboratively with teams of management consultants, IT professionals, engineers, and scientists. This position requires strong intellect, the ability to articulate complex ideas persuasively, and a talent for building and solidifying relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7 years of consulting experience with an environmental engineering or management consulting firm or equivalent experience with a municipal utility.
  • B.S. in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Engineering Management.

Nice To Haves

  • IAM, PE and/or PMP certifications are preferred.
  • Experience in GIS, Business Intelligence (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, etc.), CMMS or other asset management decision support platforms.
  • Experience as a Project Manager and proficiency with Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development and implementation of asset management plans and programs.
  • Collaborating with others to analyze utilities’ operational business processes and decision support system solutions.
  • Performing consulting tasks associated with business process analysis, asset registers/inventories, condition and risk assessment, and repair and renewal needs.
  • Performing analysis of utility GIS, maintenance, and condition assessment data to support inspection and planning programs.
  • Evaluating utility asset management activities, including inventories, technology support condition and remaining useful life, repair and renewal needs, and cost projections.
  • Providing recommendations for improved O&M practices, as well as supporting technology to minimize asset life cycle costs.
  • Improving the effectiveness of asset management technology support with master plans, business process improvement, data integration, and associated technology applications.
