About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Asset Management Consultant to join their Resilience Water Team. This role involves working on various national engagements within the Asset Management practice. The consultant will be responsible for the technical delivery of asset management projects, focusing on the water and wastewater utility industry. Key areas of expertise include asset management planning, gap assessments, asset inventory, condition and consequence-of-failure assessments, life-cycle cost analysis, O&M programs, and capital investment planning. The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals, including management consultants, IT professionals, engineers, and scientists. Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

7 years of consulting experience with an environmental engineering or management consulting firm or equivalent experience with a municipal utility.
B.S. in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Engineering Management.

Nice To Haves

IAM, PE and/or PMP certifications are preferred.
Experience in GIS, Business Intelligence (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, etc.), CMMS or other asset management decision support platforms.
Experience as a Project Manager and proficiency with Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

Supporting the development and implementation of asset management plans and programs.
Development of strategic asset management plans.
Development of service levels, performance measures, and business process improvement initiatives.
Collaborating with others to analyze utilities’ operational business processes and decision support system solutions.
Performing consulting tasks associated with business process analysis, asset registers/inventories, criticality, condition assessment, and repair and renewal needs.
Performing analysis of large utility GIS, maintenance, data collection tools, or condition assessment databases to support inspection, condition assessment, and planning programs.
Evaluating utilities’ asset management activities, including asset inventories, technology support consequence of failure, condition and remaining useful life, repair and renewal needs, and cost projections.
Providing recommendations for improved operations and maintenance practices, as well as supporting technology to minimize asset life cycle costs.
Improving the effectiveness of asset management technology support with master plans, business process improvement, data integration, and associated technology applications.
