About The Position

The Senior Assembly Technician performs a variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical production assembly operations, including repetitive and non-repetitive tasks involving modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. The work includes complex rework, soldering, wiring, and testing. The technician follows established procedures, work instructions, schematics, and other approved documentation, and is responsible and authorized to carry out assigned tasks. The role is based at GE Aerospace’s Clearwater location, where the work contributes to aviation systems for commercial and military customers. The facility is climate-controlled and the team has opportunities for continuous learning and development. The role may involve hazardous operations and materials and overtime as required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and comprehend technical work instructions.
Soldering experience and ability to become J-Std certified within the first 30 days of employment.
At least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 35 pounds.
Ability to work with hazardous materials and work overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency using a personal computer to navigate online documents, drawings, and instructions.
A minimum of 6 years of industry or similarly related job experience.
Prior experience working in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Perform electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assembly operations on modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
