About The Position

The Senior Art Directors at Ogilvy Health own their brands. They manage the evolution of brand identity through the execution of layouts and conceptual development required for their projects. They will collaborate within a cross-functional team – including medical or copywriters and account services – to achieve the best outcome, including collaborating with Art Directors to ensure brand consistency. Be part of a brilliant, collaborative team that pushes boundaries to show that health advertising can be fresh and exciting even in a highly regulated industry. The challenges are many and varied, with brands in Canada and globally, as well as communications for healthcare professionals, patients, consumers, and more.

  • 5+ years of experience in an agency or similar environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere as a bonus).
  • Proficient in Figma/Sketch.
  • Strong background in developing digital work and campaigns, and experience creating work for print.
  • Competence in conceptual development, bringing ideas to life in a way that speaks to the target audience.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a collaborative environment on diverse projects and campaigns.
  • Execute layouts to meet project brief objectives; updates as needed.
  • Oversee consistency between pieces, regulatory compliance, and manage the evolution of your brands from a creative perspective.
  • Demonstrate conceptual development skills when new creative is needed.
  • Review layouts before release and support Art Directors on their brands.
  • Present work to clients.
  • Make updates to ongoing projects and communicate with account services to relay creative changes.
  • Attend project briefings and provide input as needed.
  • Collaborate with copywriters to achieve creative execution objectives and find solutions to creative challenges.
  • Deliver layouts according to agreed-upon timelines and provide creative rationale for pieces.
  • Ensure consistency between pieces and brand evolution.
  • Review and approve final layouts before release.
