About The Position
Leading architectural and engineering firm is adding a Senior Architect experienced in lab design to their Minneapolis team! This role involves developing plans for lab and high-tech facilities, including teaching and research spaces. The Senior Architect will work as part of a team to develop flexible planning grids, lab organization diagrams, and service distribution concepts. Responsibilities also include documenting laboratory systems, assisting with business development through proposal development and client presentations, building and maintaining client relationships, using technical expertise to lead teams, and mentoring junior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- 8+ years of experience in architectural lab programming/planning
- Registered Architect
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software
- Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Nice To Haves
- LEED AP preferred
- Experience managing clients, project teams, and project processes
- Desire to learn more about sustainability
Responsibilities
- Develop plans for lab and high-tech facilities including teaching/research

- Document laboratory systems (casework, lab equipment, and lab space development)
- Assist with business development (proposal development, client interviews/presentations)
- Build/maintain client relationships
