About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a talented and driven Senior Architect to join our Miami, FL studio, leading innovative design solutions and coordinating complex projects from concept to completion. This role offers the opportunity to work across all levels of the firm, contribute to business development efforts, and shape impactful environments through creative thinking, technical expertise, and client engagement.

Requirements

  • Professional architecture degree (B.Arch/M.Arch)
  • Active Registered Architect (RA) license
  • NCARB certification
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience with a proven ability to lead large-scale, complex projects across diverse sectors (aviation, transit, commercial, institutional, etc.).
  • Experience managing teams and mentoring staff, with strong capabilities in budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of building systems, codes, and construction methods, with strong design, spatial planning, detailing, and construction documentation capabilities.
  • Advanced skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, Lumion, Bluebeam, and strong familiarity with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination tools.
  • Strong decision-making, client-facing leadership, and ability to clearly present ideas to diverse audiences through excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Dedication to high-quality design, continuous improvement, and staying current with emerging technologies, materials, and sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural vision & execution: Direct design and planning for complex projects, developing long-term strategies and master plans while overseeing all phases from concept through construction documentation.
  • Align design with business & client goals: Ensure solutions meet client needs and organizational objectives, act as primary client liaison, present concepts, negotiate scope/fees/contracts, and build lasting relationships.
  • Deliver high-quality, compliant projects: Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, design quality, sustainability goals, and compliance with codes, zoning, ADA, and permitting processes.
  • Drive technical excellence & coordination: Review and approve deliverables, resolve complex technical issues, integrate advanced technologies/materials, and coordinate effectively with engineering, construction, legal, and consulting teams.
  • Provide leadership & team development: Supervise and mentor staff, guide design direction, conduct reviews, foster a collaborative and innovative culture, and support professional growth.
  • Influence strategy & stakeholder decisions: Participate in executive-level decision-making, lead design reviews, stay current on industry trends/regulations, and contribute to firm-wide standards and innovation.
  • Support business growth & industry presence: Contribute to proposals and marketing efforts, identify new opportunities, and represent the firm with clients and at industry events.
