About The Position

In this role, you will provide expertise related to all aspects of architectural work on large complex projects with unique requirements such as semiconductor fabrication plants and data centers. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans, prepare, supervise, review, coordinate, and approve design and construction documents. Your recommendations for resolving complex issues will help ensure client satisfaction for the project’s technical aspects. This is a full time position, designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in architecture and 10-13 years of relevant experience.
  • US Registered Architect, licensed to practice architecture in New York or has the ability to obtain reciprocal license in New York.
  • Advanced knowledge of architectural design, production techniques, building specifications, construction documents, and project delivery methods
  • Knowledge of building codes, current industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to architectural work
  • Demonstrated experience supporting site startups, major expansions, or large capital projects
  • Experience in the preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, proposals, value engineering studies, or alternate technical concepts
  • Experience in coordination of architectural design with other engineering disciplines and functions which will include construction, estimating, project controls, procurement, and contracts management
  • Understands and performs the standard architectural work planning, scheduling, and job hour estimating process
  • Experience in monitoring and ensuring compliance with project budgets, schedules, quantities, and quality requirements
  • Knowledge and experience using BIM, Autodesk Design suite (e.g., Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks)
  • Proven ability to lead and work within a diverse multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, coordinates and reviews architectural work on large projects
  • Coordinates and interfaces with the day-to-day technical work of personnel​ including other engineering disciplines
  • Develops conceptual and detailed designs for projects having specialized or unique architectural requirements​
  • Prepares job hour estimates, staffing needs and design schedules​ to manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinates architectural work prepared by other entities to support project execution
  • Expertise in applying special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data​ applicable to the project
  • Coordinates with client representatives to obtain approval of work packages
  • Reviews and approves key design documents, supplier documents, material specifications, drawings, and change orders
  • Mentors architectural personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development​.
