About The Position

West Monroe is seeking a Senior Architect to lead the technical vision, architecture, and engineering strategy for the firm's Asset Suite. This role is responsible for evolving our portfolio of proprietary software assets, AI capabilities, and reusable platforms that enable scalable, differentiated client delivery. As the senior technical leader, you will partner with Product Management, Engineering, Experience Design, Data & AI, and Consulting teams to define technology roadmaps, establish engineering standards, and ensure our products are secure, scalable, and built for long-term success. You will champion modern software engineering practices, cloud-native architectures, and AI-enabled capabilities while mentoring engineering teams and driving technical excellence across the portfolio.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or technical leadership.
  • Experience designing enterprise software platforms and reusable technology products.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices, APIs, distributed systems, and modern application development.
  • Proficiency with languages such as C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and platform engineering.
  • Experience designing and delivering AI-enabled software products in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock, or Vertex AI.
  • Knowledge of LLMs, RAG, vector databases, agent frameworks, prompt engineering, and AI governance.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead architecture across multiple engineering teams and influence technical strategy.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the technical architecture and long-term engineering roadmap for West Monroe's Asset Suite.
  • Establish architectural standards, engineering best practices, and governance across products and platforms.
  • Design scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions that promote reuse and long-term maintainability.
  • Lead architectural reviews and guide key technology decisions across engineering teams.
  • Drive the adoption of Generative AI, intelligent agents, and automation capabilities across the Asset Suite.
  • Define architectural patterns for AI-enabled products using modern enterprise AI platforms and frameworks.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and establish standards for responsible AI, security, governance, and model lifecycle management.
  • Serve as the senior technical leader for Asset Engineering
  • Foster engineering excellence through reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and modern development practices.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Data & AI, and Consulting leaders to align technical strategy with product priorities.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to prioritize technical investments and product roadmaps.
  • Support adoption of the Asset Suite across client delivery teams by ensuring products meet business and user needs.
  • Represent Asset Engineering in strategic planning, innovation initiatives, and cross-functional technology decisions.
