About The Position

This is a prime client-facing ownership role for corporate workplace interiors projects, managing the full scope from RFP through project close-out. The position serves as the primary client interface, responsible for budgets, contracts, change orders, additional services, invoicing, and collections. The role also involves leading the final red-line review of construction documents and overseeing consultant deliverables. The firm is a mid-sized, well-established architecture practice with a strong reputation in the corporate interiors space, located in Midtown Manhattan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture required.
  • 10+ years of continuous project management experience specifically in Corporate Workplace Interiors.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of NYC and IBC Building Codes, compliance, filing strategies, and base building infrastructure.
  • Strong presentation and client-facing communication skills.
  • Experience in corporate workplace interiors.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the prime client interface across every phase of the project.
  • Manage the full scope of projects: budgets, contracts, change orders, additional services, invoicing, and collections.
  • Lead final red-line review of construction documents.
  • Oversee consultant deliverables.
  • Own the client relationship from new business presentations and RFP responses through project sign-off.
  • Control the financial and production side of the project, including man-hour projections, project fees, budgets, schedules, staffing projections, and fee tracking.
  • Conduct the final red-line review of construction documents and the overall review of consultant documents.
  • Reviewing and red-lining construction documents before they're finalized.
  • Meeting with clients, landlords, and consultants to keep projects moving.
  • Tracking project budgets, fees, and staffing projections.
  • Coordinating the bidding process, including reviewing bids and fielding contractor questions.
  • Managing contracts, change orders, and payment requisitions.
  • Reviewing code compliance and building analysis on active projects.
  • Coordinating and managing the project team.
