About The Position

The Information Technology Group (ITG) is a collection of people, processes and technology investments that are designed to achieve the business goals of FTI Consulting. The ITG Senior Applied AI Engineer provides secondary leadership and is the primary backup for one or more Matrix Teams. A matrix team is defined as a technical steering committee focused on the architecture, operational health, management, and monitoring of like systems grouped by technical function.

Requirements

  • 5 years of application or software development related experience
  • 2 years within FTI
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python and C#/.NET
  • Proven experience deploying AI solutions within the Azure AI ecosystem (e.g., MS Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, etc.)
  • Four Year College Degree or equivalent job experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building and deploying generative AI solutions using large language models (LLMs) into Production
  • Hands-on exposure to AI agent frameworks or modern orchestration tools (such as Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or Autogen)
  • Experience with support and maintenance of COTS Enterprise ERP solutions
  • High level certification in core area (MCAD, MCSD, or MCDBA)
  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience working with Windows 2003 server, IIS, SharePoint and SQL Server 2000 or 2005.

Responsibilities

  • Conceives, designs, and oversees the implementation of enterprise-wide systems development.
  • Researches and recommends software products to address business requirements.
  • Ensures that the business and technical architecture of delivered solutions match customer requirements.
  • Develops, maintains and executes documentation, policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the day to day sustaining activities for the FTI global enterprise application infrastructure.
  • Proactively meets with clients to determine business requirements, document specifications for recommendations of software solutions, and ensures that existing solutions continue to meet customer expectations and requirements.
  • Responsible for the execution and maintenance of: Operation Calendars, Use and compliance with FTI’s Change Management Control Process, Incident reporting and tracking, Use and compliance with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards when developing solutions.
  • Responsible for comprehensive NOC operations including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting and resolution of issues and escalating to the appropriate technical resources to resolve issues.
  • Analyzes and maintains performance data to ensure optimal usage of software applications.
  • Assists in the development and management of all budgetary expenses as it relates to the applications development teams.
