ISO New England's Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS) department, the R&D engine driving innovation across the region’s power grid and the industry, is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to support our Grid AI Innovation initiative. This is a unique opportunity to bridge cutting-edge artificial intelligence with mission-critical power system challenges and shape the future of grid reliability and resilience. As a Senior Applied AI Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of power systems engineering and enterprise AI. You will design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI solutions, including generative AI and agent-based systems that directly impact New England's energy infrastructure. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Planning, Markets, and IT to identify high-value use cases, architect scalable solutions, and ensure responsible AI practices throughout the lifecycle.
