About The Position

Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy. We are seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to bridge advanced materials development with real-world hardware applications. This role is highly hands-on and execution-focused, translating technical strategy into experiments, prototypes, and validated performance data that inform both engineering decisions and customer-facing outcomes. You will work closely with the Director of Engineering to execute development plans, troubleshoot technical challenges in real time, and ensure that materials and processes are effectively integrated into functional systems. This position is located in our San Jose office.

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with the Director and internal teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the day-to-day engineering tasks, experiments, and project deliverables aligned with the Director’s technical strategy.
