About The Position

This is a senior-level engineering role at the center of a company actively expanding its MIM manufacturing capabilities. You'll sit on the Advanced Technology Engineering Team, driving new product development, opening new markets, and serving as the primary technical bridge between customers and internal production teams. Requirements

  • Experience in metal injection molding (MIM) or powder metals engineering — this is a firm requirement
  • Strong design skills with the ability to work from and modify CAD solid models
  • Demonstrated customer-facing experience in a technical or applications engineering capacity
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams through structured product launch processes (APQP experience a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering quotations for new MIM products, including raw material requirements, operation steps and rates, tooling and fixture costs, and capital requirements
  • Recommend and implement design changes to customer components to ensure MIM manufacturability — including marked prints and modifications to CAD solid model files
  • Lead the manufacturing and delivery of engineering prototypes and sample parts
  • Own technical and engineering discussions with customers; represent customer requirements in internal cross-functional conversations
  • Lead APQP teams through Gate 1 and participate through Gate 5 of the full production approval process
