About The Position

We are the AI Experience Framework (AIUX) team that powers ServiceNow's AI-first user interfaces. Using modern Lit-based web components, AIUX builds modular, reusable conversational experiences that serve as the technical foundation for conversation-first applications like Employee Slate. This role owns full-stack architectural decisions in a modern JavaScript/component-driven environment, working across AI integration, performance scale, and multi-team coordination.

Requirements

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving (may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the industry)
  • 3+ years of experience with Java or similar OO language (C++, C#, Go equivalent acceptable)
  • Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, reusability, and componentization
  • Advanced experience with modern UI frameworks: Angular, React, Vue, or Lit
  • Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with relational databases: development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects with material technical risk across teams and processes
  • Track record serving as functional lead or technical owner
  • Exposure to multiple technology stacks: Cloud Dev, Platforms, Web Dev, Frameworks, service-oriented architecture

Responsibilities

  • Own code from design, implementation, test automation, and delivery of high-quality product to our users
  • Work with product owners to understand detailed requirements and drive the full development lifecycle
  • Build software that is simple to use, allowing customers to extend and customize functionality to meet their specific needs
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while enhancing the existing product suite
  • Mentor colleagues and promote knowledge-sharing across teams
  • Apply advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OO design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
  • Architect modular, reusable component systems for scalability and extensibility
