About The Position

This role is responsible for leading the engineering, support, and continuous optimization of a business-critical Financial Risk Management application ecosystem. The individual will leverage expertise in application engineering, Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, infrastructure operations, and data integration platforms to ensure the QRM platform remains secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business priorities. This role serves as the Application Owner, primary technical owner, and senior escalation point for the QRM platform. The position partners closely with Financial Risk business teams, Enterprise IT teams including infrastructure, network, security, and database administration, and third-party software vendors to manage platform health, technical risk, operational readiness, and delivery of application enhancements. The role is accountable for the end-to-end operational health, security, stability, performance, and continuous availability of a .NET application ecosystem supported by Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), deployed across a hybrid environment spanning Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure. The environment includes Azure IaaS resources, virtual machines, Azure Data Factory, data integration workflows, analytics pipelines, and supporting infrastructure services required to sustain enterprise risk management functions. Success in this role requires advanced technical proficiency, strong operational engineering capabilities, cloud infrastructure expertise, and demonstrated ownership of business-critical enterprise applications. The ideal candidate is a hands-on senior engineer who can operate with minimal supervision, drive complex cross-functional issues to resolution, and own the technical health, security posture, and service performance of a critical business platform.

Responsibilities

Primary technical ownership and senior escalation accountability for a business-critical QRM platform, including Azure infrastructure, platform reliability, security posture, vendor coordination, data integration workflows, and production service performance.
Leading the engineering, support, and continuous optimization of a business-critical Financial Risk Management application ecosystem.
Ensuring the QRM platform remains secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business priorities.
Serving as the Application Owner, primary technical owner, and senior escalation point for the QRM platform.
Partnering closely with Financial Risk business teams, Enterprise IT teams (infrastructure, network, security, database administration), and third-party software vendors to manage platform health, technical risk, operational readiness, and delivery of application enhancements.
