Senior Application Engineer
About The Position
Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Senior Application Engineer to work for our company. The client agency is the Defense Logistics Agency. This role involves analyzing and studying complex system requirements, designing software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and managing their implementation. The engineer will manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools. Responsibilities also include estimating software development costs and schedules, reviewing existing programs to make refinements, reducing operating time and improving current techniques, and supervising software configuration management.
Requirements
- Ten (10) years relevant experience.
- BA/BS in a technical discipline.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes and studies complex system requirements.
- Designs software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manages their implementation.
- Manages software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools.
- Estimates software development costs and schedule.

- Supervises software configuration management.
