About The Position

As a member of this team, the TMC Senior Application Engineer would be expected to be a part of all technical pieces of the project, including hardware, software, and control schemes. This is an outstanding hybrid opportunity to be an integral part of a team executing turbo-machinery controls projects which includes hardware, software, and control schemes. Projects stages include Customer-Facing KO Meeting, System Design Drawings, Control Narratives, Programming, Factory Acceptance Testing, and Commissioning (on-site). TMC Sales and Proposal Support is required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
7 + years or more of comprehensive Turbo-Machinery controls experience in at least 2 of the following: Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines, Hydro Turbines, Compressors (Surge), Generators (AVR), and Diesel Engines.
Ability to multi-task on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work well in a multi-discipline team environment.
Must be able to consult with clients in all areas of Turbomachinery.

Experience with Triconex Hardware
Experience with TS1131 software
Experience with Wonderware HMI
Experience with Foxboro DCS (I/A)
Experience with Modicon Hardware
Experience with Modicon Unity Pro Software
Experience with any Function Based Programming Software

Responsibilities

Be a part of all technical pieces of the project, including hardware, software, and control schemes.
Communicate with the client and make suggestions as the Turbomachinery Controls (TMC) expert.
Provide Startup Support.
Give internal and external training.
Work in multi-discipline teams in Turbomachinery, including but not limited to: Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines, Compressors (Surge and Performance Control), Generators (AVR and Protection), Diesel Engines, and Hydro Turbines.
Support TMC Sales and Proposals.
