About The Position

Works under minimal supervision and maintains base source code branches and build environment. Responsible for the quality of software and hardware configurations implemented for a single hardware/software environment. Creates and validates product builds. Recommends enhancements and updates/patches to the software configuration management system, build and build validation methods, as well as the delivery system. Participates in the development and implementation of corporate-wide configuration management processes including functional and physical configuration audits. Trains new members/groups in the existing work environment. Compiles and maintains development and test code baselines. Monitors teams and provides SCM and Build support. Isolates and troubleshoots problems as well as communicates solutions to team members. Interfaces with other team members and other teams to ensure technology solutions and staff are in line with customer expectations and overall technology vision and goals. Documents and communicates status in a timely manner including metric reporting. Champions the collaborative resolution of defects. Works across the organization to deliver solutions that meet joint requirements. Leads/co-leads internal process improvement initiatives. Provides feedback on processes by offering suggestions. Evaluates industry trends, standards, and new technologies to recommend change. Mentors and supervises junior staff in project-level tasks. Assists with adherence to technology policies and complies with all security controls. Ensures all work products meet/exceed FINRA standards. Manages vendor relationships and related budget. Demonstrates FINRA’s values. Collaborates, both in-person and virtually, in furtherance of FINRA’s mission of investor protection and market integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline with at least five (5) years of related experience
  • At least three (3) years of senior level SCM/BE experience in a custom software development organization.
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management best practices
  • Knowledge and experience with various SCM and build automation tools
  • Knowledge and experience with at least one contemporary script language and at least one other object oriented programming language
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to develop effective working relationships that improved the quality of work products
  • Should be well organized, thorough, and able to handle competing priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
