About the position

As a Senior Application Support Engineer at Omnipresent, you will play a crucial role in growing our internally faced application landscape. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for understanding the business challenges faced by the IT Ops team and implementing technical solutions. Your day-to-day tasks will include developing and maintaining our shared services SaaS stack, leading IT projects, collaborating with the cybersecurity team to enhance security, and maximizing the value of our SaaS app purchases. With your expertise in managing SaaS-based applications and leading IT projects, you will contribute to making global remote work a reality for people everywhere.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, support, and maintain the shared services SaaS stack
  • Lead all aspects of IT projects (planning, implementation, testing, deployment) and share knowledge with other team members
  • Work closely with the cybersecurity team to improve security posture
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to maximize the value of SaaS app purchases
  • Identify, evaluate, and propose key technologies to support and improve business processes
  • Deploy and vet SaaS applications for a progressive problem-solving approach to organizational IT challenges

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in managing SaaS-based internally-facing applications
  • 5+ years of experience working as an application support or delivery engineer
  • Experience leading 3rd party tool implementations (CRMs, ERPs, HCMs etc.)
  • Experience working with online collaboration platforms (Google Workspace, Slack)
  • Experience writing API-based integrations between SaaS applications (preferably using low-code tools like Zapier, Tray.io, Workato etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Jira Cloud
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices within the area of SaaS management.
  • Experience with data flow architecture (organizing efficient data flow) (bonus)
  • Experience with setting up internal work management systems (Planhat, ServiceNow etc.) (bonus)
  • Previous experience as an IT Infrastructure engineer or 3rd-line IT support engineer (bonus)
  • Ability to write scripts/code (bonus)
  • Previous experience working with AWS-based infrastructure (mostly Lambdas) (bonus)
  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • Passionate about remote work and decoupling geographic location from economic opportunity
