About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Ansible Automation Engineer / Platform Automation Architect position for our client. This role involves architecting, designing, and implementing enterprise automation solutions using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP / Tower). The engineer will develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, and execution environments, and build scalable platform automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration management, patching, and lifecycle operations. A key aspect of the role is enabling governed self-service automation with strong controls, compliance, and change management integration. The position also requires applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve reliability, availability, and operational efficiency, defining and supporting SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets through automation and observability integration. Additionally, the role involves integrating automation workflows with monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms to reduce MTTR and improve incident response, collaborating with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to standardize automation patterns, and acting as an Application Architect for open-source platforms, aligning automation solutions with enterprise architecture standards.

Requirements

  • Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP / Tower)

  • SRE practices (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets)

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
  • Extensive experience in Ansible automation, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation roles
  • Proven ability to design enterprise-scale automation frameworks
  • Experience applying SRE principles in production environments
  • Strong background integrating automation with enterprise monitoring and DevOps toolchains
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
