About The Position

At Instaleap, we build technology that powers real-time operations for retailers and supermarkets across multiple countries and regions worldwide. As a Senior Android Engineer, you'll face challenges that extend beyond the ordinary. Requirements

• +5 years of professional experience in native Android development using Kotlin (Must).
• Proven track record of successfully publishing and maintaining applications in the Google Play Store.
• Strong command of software design patterns, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and clean code practices.
• Hands-on experience working with design hand-off tools, specifically Figma, ensuring high-fidelity implementation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile, specifically using GitHub Actions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and a passion for mentoring other developers to reach their full potential.
• Proven capability to tackle ambiguous challenges and deliver high-quality solutions independently.
• B2 English Level (Upper-Intermediate). You must have fluent conversational skills and the ability to participate effectively in technical and professional discussions.
• Experience working with Firebase (Realtime Database, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, etc.).
• Skilled in adapting your language for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving alignment across teams.
• A mindset geared towards "elevating the bar"—you don't just follow processes, you improve them.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance development speed, code quality, and problem-solving efficiency. You know how to use these tools effectively to boost your daily output.

• Experience with Bitrise is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of our native Android applications using Kotlin, ensuring they are scalable, robust, and performant.
• Bring proactive proposals for technical improvements, tools, and processes to keep our mobile stack at the forefront of the industry.
• Guide and mentor other senior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Work closely with UX/UI designers via Figma to translate complex designs into fluid, high-quality mobile interfaces.
• Manage the end-to-end delivery process, including the indispensable task of publishing and managing versions in the Google Play Store.
• Participate in and lead code reviews. You will work with legacy code, contributing to the evolution of the codebase to bring it to the next level of quality and modern standards.
• Collaborate with product teams to define technical feasibility and contribute to the evolution of the mobile product.
