About The Position

As a full-time Senior Analytics Engineer at SIXT, you’ll be at the heart of our Business & Data Analytics team, designing and maintaining the data architecture that powers self-service decision-making across the U.S. business. You’ll build reusable data models, optimize data infrastructure, and champion automation and AI-powered workflows to unlock real-time business insights. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related role with demonstrated progression in scope and complexity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Business, Data Analytics/Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Authorized to work in the United States or Portugal without sponsorship
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)
  • Familiarity with BI/visualization tools (QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Business literacy
  • Ability to present complex data architecture decisions in plain language
  • Automation-minded
  • AI-fluent
  • Able to manage own priorities with a self-directed approach

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts
  • Prompt engineering experience
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis and scripting

Responsibilities

  • Support the business by designing and maintaining logical data architecture, including star schemas, cubes, and dimension tables
  • Manage the technical execution of Redshift migration, optimizing table structures and query performance for efficient analytics
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to build reusable data models and ensure consistent KPI definitions
  • Maintain data quality and integrity across key business datasets, establishing testing, documentation, and governance standards
  • Receive and automate manual data processes by building pipelines and leveraging AI-powered coding assistants
  • Assist with deep-dive analyses, translating business questions into analytical frameworks and synthesizing data into actionable recommendations for senior management
