About The Position

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analytical Specialist in Freeport (TX). The Senior Analytical Specialist serves as the site’s technical expert and strategic lead for analytical laboratory services. This role delivers accurate, reliable, and compliant data that supports environmental programs, manufacturing operations, troubleshooting, regulatory needs, and site projects. The specialist develops and implements non-routine analytical methods, interprets complex data, qualifies new methods and equipment, and advances laboratory systems, calibration programs, and preventive maintenance practices. The role also coordinates technical work and provides expert guidance, coaching, and mentoring to laboratory team members. This role is aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions (“Diamond Infra”) company and will be seconded from Dow to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions until January 1, 2027. At that time, the role will become directly aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions Company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, environmental science, chemical engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental analytical methods and applicable regulatory programs.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% annually, primarily within the Gulf Coast region.
  • Must have a current, valid US driver’s license.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Nice To Haves

  • Environmental laboratory experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Working knowledge of EPA requirements, TNI standards, ISO/IEC 17025, NPDES, RCRA, air permitting, and wastewater compliance programs.
  • Experience with laboratory information management systems, chromatography data systems, and advanced data analytics.
  • Programming or scripting experience, such as Python, R, SQL, or similar tools, for laboratory automation, data analysis, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the site subject matter expert for environmental analytical methods, technologies, and regulatory applications.
  • Ensure analytical data are accurate, reliable, and compliant with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, qualify, implement, and improve non-routine analytical methods, technologies, and laboratory equipment.
  • Lead investigations and resolve complex analytical, instrumentation, data-quality, and plant or product troubleshooting issues.
  • Evaluate complex and non-routine data using appropriate statistical tools, validate results, and initiate corrective action when required.
  • Establish calibration, preventive maintenance, laboratory information system, and data-handling practices that improve reliability and performance.
  • Partner with customers to define service expectations, develop analytical response plans, and coordinate support for site projects, expansions, and regulatory initiatives.
  • Improve laboratory work processes, tools, and systems to strengthen efficiency, capability, and operational reliability.
  • Lead training and provide technical coaching and mentoring to analytical technologists and technicians.
