About The Position

Performs professional level analysis and control functions in the area of assignment, specifically managing functions related to the volunteer faculty recruitment and appointment process. Serves as a liaison between the Office of Faculty Affairs, administration, and department faculty and staff regarding non-salaried faculty appointments. Develops reference guides and provides training to department staff on the non-salaried faculty appointment process. Initiates and processes non-salaried faculty appointment application forms to candidates, performing timely follow-ups to completion. Processes peer reference request forms and interacts with community physicians to complete requirements. Fields inquiries and responds to external and internal information requests regarding volunteer faculty. Establishes positive working relationships with candidates, administration, faculty, and staff, providing customer service support and training. Populates non-salaried faculty information in the System for Onboarding, Appointment and Recruitment (SOAR) for community volunteer faculty. Implements the periodic reappointment of faculty appointments for volunteer community faculty. Prepares reports and maintains an accurate database on current volunteer faculty appointments. Assists non-salaried faculty with obtaining eRaider accounts, email, and library access as part of the onboarding process. Provides administrative support within the Faculty Recruitment division on senior leadership recruitment activities. Serves as Project Manager (PM) for at least one major faculty services project in the area of faculty retention and faculty satisfaction for the Office of Faculty Affairs. Adheres to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures, and processes. Personally and consistently demonstrates, displays, and acts in accordance with Texas Tech Health El Paso’s Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork), serving as a Values leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution. Remains current with all licensures, certifications, and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational, communication and multi-tasking skills and ability to thrive in busy office environment.
  • Self-starter with ability to perform work independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, faculty, and the public.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Three (3) years related experience; OR Combination of related education and/or experience to equal seven years.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in graphic design such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in healthcare and or higher education preferred.

  • Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan.
