About The Position

Fitch US Corporates is seeking a Senior Analyst for coverage in the Gaming, Lodging & Leisure sectors to join our team in our Toronto, Chicago or New York office. This role offers an opportunity to be a lead coverage analyst at a global rating agency within a team-oriented work environment. The position provides a platform to help the debt capital markets make more informed decisions via timely, insightful and forward-looking rating actions and research.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5+ years relevant experience
  • Expertise in Excel and Word
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to shift between multiple projects as priorities change and work in a team-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

  • CFA/CPA or CFA Candidate preferred
  • Some coverage or knowledge of the GLL sector a plus
  • Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience a plus
  • Some knowledge of, and a keen interest in the GLL sector and similar property-linked securities
  • Professional background in capital markets and/or credit analysis experience and well-developed financial statement analysis skills
  • Desire to deepen their exposure to and understanding of the debt capital markets
  • A strong pattern of leadership and the ability to proactively and successfully interact with various internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality in the Gaming, Lodging & Leisure sectors
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models
  • Engage with industry management teams to gain insights and enhance analysis
  • Present analysis of companies to internal credit rating committees and participate in the evaluation of other credits within Corporates as well as other related credit groups
  • Involvement in communicating rating rationales to external audiences (primarily institutional investors, sell-side analysts and media) in meetings, conference calls, press releases and written research reports
  • Contribute to the writing of timely research on topical issues
