About The Position

The Senior Analyst prepares business and security valuation reports for tax compliance, financial reporting regulations, and strategic/fiduciary duty purposes. The candidate is expected to be well-versed in accounting and finance and possess the ability to interact with the executive leadership of client companies, including Chief Executive Officers and Chief Financial Officers, via teleconference, phone, and email. This role involves performing highly technical analyses in the valuing of business enterprises and their securities, requiring a strong grasp of various valuation methodologies. The position also includes benchmarking, financial statement analysis, economic analysis of companies, markets, and industries, and drafting memos and reports. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will research and review country-specific tax and transfer pricing regulations.

Requirements

  • Master’s and/or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
  • At least four years of financial analyst related experience.
  • Strong grasp of Discounted Cash Flow Analysis.
  • Strong grasp of Comparable Merger and Acquisition Transaction Analysis.
  • Strong grasp of Comparable Public Company Multiple Analysis.
  • Strong grasp of Black-Scholes Option Pricing Valuation Analysis.
  • Strong grasp of First-Chicago Valuation Analysis.
  • Strong grasp of Monte Carlo Simulation Analysis.
  • Strong grasp of Cost-to-Recreate Analysis.
  • Strong grasp of Sum-of-the-Parts Analysis.
  • Strong grasp of Liquidity Analysis.
  • Strong grasp of Accretion/Dilution Analysis.
  • Strong grasp of Leveraged Buy-Out Analysis.
  • Strong grasp of Synthetic Put Analysis.
  • Strong grasp of Lattice Analysis.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong quantitative disciplines like math, economics, accounting, or finance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Access and PowerPI.
  • Knowledge of creating VB macros in MS Excel, MS Word or MS Access.
  • Experience with research databases such as CapitalIQ and other tools.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with the executive leadership of client companies (CEOs, CFOs) via teleconference, phone, and email.
  • Performs highly technical analyses in the valuing of business enterprises and their securities.
  • Determines appropriate discounts for lack of marketability and lack of control for equity securities.
  • Performs benchmarking, analysis of financial statements, and economic analysis of companies, markets, and industries.
  • Drafts and assists in the preparation of memos and reports.
  • Researches and reviews country-specific tax and transfer pricing regulations.
  • Responds to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
  • Maintains effective communication with stakeholders through written and verbal channels.
