The Finance Department provides best-in-class advice, support, and control to our businesses and investors through an experienced and dedicated global team. Within Finance, the Financial Reporting & Accounting Policy group supports the firm’s evolving business with deep technical accounting and financial reporting expertise, partnering across stakeholders to address complex matters tied to new investments, transactions, and developing business lines, including private credit.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in audit, accounting, or financial services, including experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm and/or within a private credit fund
  • CPA or equivalent qualification required
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP technical accounting matters, including practical experience with investment company accounting under ASC 946
  • Strong understanding of credit investment products, related accounting and disclosure requirements under U.S. GAAP, and associated operational and valuation considerations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting topics clearly and practically to a range of stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, sound analytical judgment, and a high level of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines in a demanding environment
  • Strong technical proficiency with web-based applications and Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • experience with financial reporting systems, Alteryx, and AI tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret complex investment transactions, including detailed legal documentation, to identify technical accounting and financial reporting implications in a timely manner
  • Provide accounting guidance for private credit activities, strategic transactions, and business development initiatives
  • Participate actively in internal and external deal discussions to help ensure transactions are structured and accounted for appropriately
  • Prepare clear, well-supported technical accounting analyses and engage directly with external advisors and auditors to formalize conclusions
  • Partner across Business Development, Structuring, Legal, Tax, Operations, Investor Relations, and Finance as a trusted cross-functional stakeholder
  • Prepare and review internal reporting materials for the private credit business, along with related U.S. GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures
  • Support broader priorities across the Financial Reporting & Accounting Policy group, including monthly reporting, year-end audit processes, and other ad hoc workstreams
